I finally got started on my truck again and I am changing colors going all white, was curious on anyones thoughts of painting the frame white to match the body?

That will be a lot of white on there if everything is white.

Well thats kinda what I was thinking but just the frame will be white the suspension componets would be siver/black and the block is black with aluminum intake and White powder coated valve covers and breather...wasn't sure if that would break it up or just go back black with the frame.

I had a guy bring me an 86 GMC 2500 rack body one time, He wanted it painter Ford tractor blue. When he dropped it off he said " I want everything blue, all of it " When he came to pick it up the entire frame, drivetrain, rims, dump rack body, and cab was Ford tractor blue. He loved it. It stuck out like a sore thumb even many years after he sold it!

Must have been hard not to puke in your paint mask putting that much ford blue on a gmc :o
I think a black frame will look much better than a white frame.

I wonder if he was a smurf fan, that is a lot of blue for any vehicle.

One drive through a freshly oiled country road would make me rethink white. Nothing sharper than a gloss black frame under a white truck IMO

Thanks for your opinions...I got alot of thought before I powdercoat.

i don't have a problem with white, but won't it get dirty easy/quick?

He had a ford tractor, and a ford lawn tractor, plus I had already painted his trailer Ford tractor blue a few years before that.
( Thirsty, it was Vinny's truck. )

You gonna drive it a lot? if so the white frame is gonna be nasty and filthy looking almost within 10 miles.... if it's for show go for it! if it's a DD of any kind it'll only be something to clean and reclean constantly.

We paint all of our test truck frames white. It makes it much easier to spot the cracks! ;)
