That is way to close. Looks like cheap headers. You need to "clearance" that if you are going to keep those. And by clearance, I mean hit it with a hammer.

i think accel make short plugs for headers but i dont know how good they are. so im with capt smack it with a hammer. you dont need to wrap your headers or wires, at least i haven't but i would try to get a .5" gap between the wires and pipes

The Thermo Tec sleeves are a good investment, but they won't help if the wires touch the headers. The shorter spark plugs Irish mentioned are in your cards. Definitely need to dimple the pipe for 1/2"-plus of clearance. Use header wrap only as a last resort. Maybe you can use this as the "perfect excuse" to purchase a new set of full-length ceramic coated pipes.... ;D

The way I have handled that in the past is to remove the spark plug and then put just the spark plug socket back close to the position it is in to remove the spark plug, but touching the header, and use a hammer to beat on the top side of the spark plug socket. It will leave a perfect indention in the header to clearance the plug wire. It will be a trial and error thing, just make sure to take your time and clearance a little at time and recheck. No sense in making a bigger dent in the header pipe than necessary. I don't know if you will get a quarter inch clearance, but it should never be touching. After you are done, pull the headers off and clean and paint. I would personally not use header wrap.
