Post by: gildardo01 on September 27, 2013, 08:33:20 am
hey there... will a 295/50 tire fit on an 8in rim? and how well will it tuck in under a stepside bed? the rim has 4in backspacing... any info would help thanks...

That is a lot of tire for an 8" rim IMO.  I think it would fit fine, just prematurely wear the center of the tire out.  My $.02

I wouldn't go more than 275 on a 8" rim.

I'll have to agree. 285 is pushing it for an 8", and I know a friend of mine has 295 on a 9" rim and it fits just nice.

I have 315/70's on 8" rim and they tuck under the bed. I'll try to load a pic.
