So im new to this forum but was lookimg not only advice but inspiration on my new project. Recently aquired a 77 silverado fleetside short bed. It is a 2wd and I believe a stock 305 engine. Previous owner rattle can primered it and looks almost gutted interior. I want to leave the height alone and throw some 32" tires on it to give it a minor lift plus fill the wheel wells in. I dont want a show quality truck because I plan on usimg it for it purpose and more than willing to scratch the paint. I love the dropped look and it makes more sense since its not a 4x4 but I also wanna keep it a TRUCK. haul stuff here and there and hop curbs and plow threw the desert. My current notion is like previously stated, big meaty tires, rhino line the interior instead of carpet, also the bed. And a flat dark blue. What size wiuld be best that wont stress the motor too much but fill in the wheel wells? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

First off welcome to the site from California. So if I am reading your post correctly, you want to know the widest size of tire that you can get into a 1/2 ton 2wd truck and still fit ?
The front is where you are going to be limited, I am a 4wd truck owner, so I am not going to be able to answer your question. But if you go to the tire and wheel section found here http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php/board,8.0.html and use the search function you more than likely will find your answer.
Happy hunting.
