you can remove them. but nothing stock will fill it in. you can buy a one piece window kit (http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=7&Product_Code=OPP7387&Category_Code=7T) from chris for $675

As Irish said, this is a custom piece. There is no donor that can be used to swap to a pickup.

two of the guys from my club have them installed they look absolutely insane plus they quieted down the cab noise from the vent windows. it will be a great addition to your truck. I plan on adding them myself. also look at the rear window conversion.
-
but you lose the ac effect. you know you open the vents so they blow right up your shorts

Tre but as you get older all that wind noise gets annoying! I plan on ding this and trying my luck getting a piece cut and making a brace for the lower mirror mount. If not then Maybe weld up a patch for that upper corner, mount a modern mirror on it and use a factory window.

Man I wish I owned a scrap yard.

you can't cut curved safety glass..

you can't cut curved safety glass..
Good to know before I tried that. I should know this considering what happens when they shatter in your face. Didn't think about that until just now.
-
This is you only option. I had all the templates ready to be built in 2002, but the price stopped me. Plus this design is MUCH better..
-
any more pics of the single pane installed? looks neat

Well Capt'n I have seen curved safety glass get cut. I won't say it's easy and the guy doing the cutting told me it would be mighty expensive. He was right. Out of three $100 sheets of glass he got one to cut. He would use the same trick as cutting flat safety glass. I wasn't paying for this little trick. My boss needed a really custom piece of glass for some artwork type safety window he had have built for a project and a piece of Buick side window glass had the necessary contours. Don't ask, I don't know why he didn't just have a piece custom made from scratch, he was good at spending a dollar to save a dime. But they scribed it laid the full of lighter fluid and lit it, and scribed it again and lit it again. Like I said, the first two didn't work. They almost worked but the last little bit would always leave the scratch mark. Of course the cut wasn't straight either.

As Irish pointed out, these are in the site store.

Can you get them with shaded glass?
-
There isn't a tint option on these.
-
...yet? :D

No not an option at all. If you want one piece windows that are tinted, you have to tint them yourself.
-
ok no biggie I tinted all mine anyways. if anything it's easier because of the smaller amount of cuts needed

Will they new window still fit in the factory power window regulator assembly and does it come with a new channel and rollers?
-
Yes all you need with this kit is a door shell and a regulator to make the window work. Everything comes with it. It uses the same rollers on the regulator assembly. The only thing that has to move if the power lock mount if you have that.
-
I do have power locks so when you say move do that mean I have to make a bracket to relocate the lock solenoid or remove it completely?.
-
What I do is drill slots in the guide mount and mount the actuator to it and bend the rod.
-
Can you get them with shaded glass?
This is the question I am interested in also.
-
Already answered above. not an option.
-
