Title: tailgate fit question

Hello everyone, newbie here with a tailgate question. I have a 78 short bed 4x4 that I am replacing the bed on. The bed I have purchased came off a 87 model, but does not have the tailgate. The one on the 78 bed has a really good tailgate......will it fit?

nope sorry the hinge is different. if course you could fab it up and make it work but the two tailgates are different
