Title: Driver's Side Kick Panel

Has anyone ever attempted to take off the driver's side kick panel?  I a little bit concerned because the kick panel seems to be getting stuck on the parking brake bracket.  Is this correct?  If so, is it a major order to loosen up the bracket, and will I be opening up a huge "can of worms" so to speak?

I have done it to several trucks I have taken apart, should be a major undertaking.
