I have a 77 shortbed 2wd. I am rebuilding the front suspension with new ball joints from Moog and new upper and lower control arm bushings from Energy Suspension. I have run into a problem with the drivers side lower control arm. The ball joint fits very loosely, I was told that they have an oversized ball joint, but that didnt work because it came off. Does any one have or has come accross this problem? I cant find this part at any local auto parts store. If I go to a junkyard, not sure if I will get or run into the same problem. Any suggestions?

I haven't ever had an issue with ball joints, have you found a solution?

I found another lower control arm from a partsonnet. Should be here in 5days, I did find an oversized ball joint but it still didnt work. i did notice that when i took the old one out it was spot welded in four places, guess who ever owned the truck before had that done. will post update as soon as i get other arm and when I get other side off.
