Title: How good is my setup?
Post by: Carlosg254 on November 10, 2013, 11:37:38 am
Hey I was wondering if someone here could help me out,
I wanted to know about how much hp I'm making and my 1/4 mile times

This is a list of the mods

355 sbc
Holley 4bbl 750cfm
Performer rpm intake
64cc aluminum heads
1.6 rockers
Comp cam xfi Adv. 268/280
@50 224/231 .520/.515 113
Comp pro magnum lifters
Longtube headers
Flowmasters with 2 1/2 in pipe

The old cam was a 230/230 .496 106 lsa

Which cam was Better?

I have seen similar combos that advertise 400hp/420tq.

Despite the marginally greater valvetrain stresses I prefer higher lift, short duration, wider lsa cams for their torque.
