1977 K20 with a 350 motor, has an Edelbrock intake and some aluminum valve covers, sounds pretty stock. $500 special from a few towns over, ran alright when I went to check it out, but it had been sitting for a few years after the guy lost the brakes plowing. Frame is extremely rusty with a few areas of holes/major rot. 7.5 foot hydraulic fisher plow works good, t-case shifter wouldn't move when I tried plowing last winter. A hammer and PB Blaster took care of that. It has the NP203 with Locking hubs up front. Almost done doing the brakes, should be done this weekend. Only the driver's side front was still attached to the proportioning valve.
This is a low budget, slow rebuild. Will never be a show truck, just going to drive it til the rear spring mount finally gives out or I find a replacement.

After searching the internet and tons of forums for the correct shift pattern of the 203, I found this under the seat ::)

I removed the rubber floor mat and insulation to get to the the center hump, and this is what was hiding
It's still solid, however the hump is not:

That is some serious cancer...Good luck, you've got fun times ahead of you.

i would be scared of that thing. but 500 for a plow, engine, trans and axles aint a bad deal

sure is, but it runs, moves, and the plow works so it wasn't too bad for it. I'll just keep fixing it til something really breaks on the frame and then it will be done

Ya, couldn't really beat it, plus the cab, doors and fenders are pretty good, only that 1 cab corner and passenger rocker are bad.

umm... that doesn't look right

figured out a way to hold up the hood since its bent
in the middle like they all do
-
They don't bend in the middle if you lube the hinges. Apparently any maintenance on this truck was not even an after thought.
-
I have seen some rusty stuff up here in NH but... WOW
It looks like a rust monster got in that thing and laid eggs. Then the babies hatched and ate their way out.
You did well though, as those fisher speedcast plow setuos sell for around $400 here if they are complete and working. It will fit on all 73-87s and 88-91 blazer/sub/1tons.

Ya the guy I got it from used it as a plow truck for years til it lost the brakes and he just parked it. Has good tires tho!! ::)

Ya, its pretty bad. Really bad actually. But the whole running gear is good and the plow works awesome so it wasn't too bad of a deal. It'll probably be up for sale after winter
