Hello, I've been digging through these boards for several months trying to educate myself. As of about two weeks ago I purchased my first 1975 Chevy K5 Blazer. I decided it was time to officially join and post some picture.
Some high points and a want/need to do list
- Dash lights do not work and need diagnosed (more below)
- Headlights do not work on DIM setting, they work on BRIGHT setting
- Needs a rear bench seat
- Would like to review changing out the front seats with more modern seats and console
- I need to add sun visors
- Need to replace the top rear door
- This car has an Air Conditioner under the hood, but the heater & AC neither one work, the blower is completely not working. I need to investigate
Couple of things already complete
- Just purchased a blutooth radio to mount in the glovebox for tunes
- Also completed building two small 6.5" speaker boxes to hook to stereo
- Added a license plate light
More long term goals
- Replace the floor pan where rusted
- If I can't get the gauge lights working replace with Autometer gauges
Here she is, you can see the top laying on the ground in front of it

Here is with the top on. The top is great. It fits good, good seals. The top is missing the entire rear gate/window.

The first thing I did was install some KC lights on the roll bar. They can swing down when the top is on.

Front, The hood doesn't fit snug closer to the windshield. The front of the hood has lynchpins that hold it down.

Driver side floor pan, has light rust on top. Some deep rust at the corners.

Rear with hitch and temporary tag

Passanger side door. Rust clear is more advanced on this side. Gets deep in the corner as well underneath the glovebox.

In retrospect, referring to a 1975 Blazer as new was most likely inaccurate. . . . "New for me" is more correct.
-
That is an awesome blazer!

Any progress on the Blazer? I've got a 74 K5 Jimmy I'm about to start rebuilding.
