I know there are a few threads already about transmission humps. I've tried reading them all but may have missed some since I am sorta new.
I have one question: I have a '77 with a 350, SM465, and NP205. So my hump is a bolt-in style. I will be doing a cab swap sometime in the future (hopefully this summer) because mine is totally rusted out. I picked up a cab in pretty dang good shape that I'm going to use, but this cab didn't come with a transmission hump. I'm not sure what type of drivetrain it had; all it came with was the cab and doors. No frame, nothing. But this replacement cab also had some sort of bolt-in style of trans hump. And it is a '77 as well.
My question is: since I have a bolt-in style, and the new cab has a bolt-in style, will mine fit? Or is there a possibility that mine won't line up.

Afaik it should bolt right up. Not sure but I never heard of anyone having problems with the bolt in style

2 wheel drive is different than 4 wheel drive that would also have a bolt in hump if it was a SM 465 equipped truck

Sometimes you have to "Make It Fit" I had to extend my transmission hump to meet the floor by the seat . A little sheet metal was all it took . 77 4x4 hump in a 86 2wd cab.

Ok, thanks guys. All the info is appreciated. This site is full of knowledge!
I have no clue if the cab came off of a 2 or 4 wheel drive vehicle. We'll see! Any additional info is appreciated. If I ever get around to doing it, I'll try to post some pictures.

Take a quick picture of the floor of the new cab and we'll tell you if it is a 4x4 cab or not
