Im pretty new to the site and i need some input from you guys.
Ive been reading through a few other forums about rear disk conversions. I came across a topic about using the front calipers and rotors off of a 2000 Chevy Astro van. But he never put the end results up. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this setup being applied? Ifso were there issues? Below are the parts that i will be using. Total is around $250 bucks
Brake Proportioning Valve - $81.00

You do not want weld on brackets. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=398352

VZ, that is a sweet link. Those look very nice!

VileZambonie thanks for the reply. While I do agree with STxMunky about the sweet looking setup, it would take the budget out of the post title. After reading through his entire blog the cost for the entire setup is twice as much as the one I posted. I will definitely take your advice on not using the weld on caliper brackets though. I also found this found kit on ebay for a complete setup with the e-brake.

If you want to make your own brackets, look here: http://73-87.com/7387garage/chassis_suspension/reardisc.htm
If you use '92-'02 AWD Astro/Safari vans they have the same lug pattern.

Very interested in the conversion like the budget idea. I too wouldn't trust weld on brackets either the price is good though. Would probably make them just to say I did it. Are you putting this on a 2 or 4 wheel drive truck?

@Square
its going on a 2 wheel drive

I can tell you with some of the kits coming out, you would be hard pressed to beat the offerings out there.
