Just changed the oil in my truck now the oil pressure gauge reads 0 while at idle and to the max while accelerating. Also the truck randomly shut off on me twice while driving. Any solutions?
-
Did you check the oil level again once the truck was run for a bit and the oil filter had a chance to fill up?
-
Yea checked it still reading full
-
Make sure the oil pressure sender is still plugged in and the sender wire isn't dangling against the exhaust.
-
Its idling hard and wants to shut off too.
-
Did you change the filter? If so did you fill the filter with oil b4 putting it back on?
What's under the hood??? If you have to ask maybe we shouldn't race...
-
No I just put oil on the gasket
-
Please take off the filter and see if there is oil inside

Yep their is oil in the filter

Id get An oil pressure gauge hooked up to the side of the oil filter housing. Are you sure you don't have any wires touching like BD suggested?

Where is the oil pressure sender located
Look right next to and above the oil filter, otherwise look where 454Man noted.
