Smith and Wesson manufactures some popular anti theft components and they come in a variety of calibers .357, 44 magnum etc.

Your absolutely correct sir.. However keep in mind the aforementioned calibers are transferrable from truck to truck. :)

as a theft deterrent I've seen a hose clamp used around the slide out side.  makes a PITA get off and not worth the time to get the gate.
