Title: Road Kill anyone???
Post by: Irish_Alley on December 19, 2013, 04:20:13 am
Let me set the scenery for you, in delaware it started to snow about 2100 and stopped about 0300. got off work at 0800. so i was on a car pool yesterday leaving work and was just staring out the window when i saw a buck dead on the side of the road. our car pool was a van so i didnt say anything. got to my car and went home to get my truck, told my wife about it and she said to be careful. took my cooking thermometer to test its temp(idk why she just told me too lol). tried to get a buddy to help me out on my travels but he was swamped with work. so i was on my own, went to the dear (about 15 minutes away) got out and the first thing i was was he was a 9 pointer although i would only claim 8. second thing i saw using my high level training of observation  ;) was the deer plowed the snow when it was hit by a Mercury. now deer is out of season in del and maryland and your not suppose to transport across state lines. so i lifted this heavy thing up in the truck and took off for the back roads. just so i wouldnt be stopped by the cops and held up from cleaning this buck up. stoped by the welding shop to show my buddy a couple decals i made up the night before for him

lol yeah i tend to be picky. if they are bloated its a no go, if they are bleeding from anywhere but the head or feet its a no go and if i cant say for sure (with in 8 or so hours) what time they where hit its a no go

I've seen one a few years ago, but with the company I'm with we will just take it to a blue beacon truck wash and have them deal with it.or road repairs.
