Title: Leaf springs!!!!
Post by: moats31 on December 24, 2013, 06:46:38 am
When I swap my 3/4ton axels out for my 1/2ton axels, I'm using my 1/2ton leafs. Since I'll be needing larger u bolts, I'll have to use a 3/4ton plate correct? And if I do. With the difference in width of the leafs be an issue?

the front shouldn't be any different and the rear you should be able to buy a plate that will fit both the axle and spring online.  I would check offroad shops, jeg's, summit, etc.

use your ¾ ton anchor plates on your ½ ton springs with ¾ ton u bolts. the leafs are the same (½ or ¾ ton) width its all on number of springs and even then a 6 pack for ½ is the same and a 6 pack for ¾ ton
