Hello Guys......getting ready to put new fenders and inner fenders on my 78 4x4, and am looking for your thoughts on whether to put on the inners first and then the fenders or to bolt them together and install them....any and all help appreciated.....

The simplest way is to install the fender, get it bolted down where you want it (install the cowl top bolt first..shimmed up as needed, then loosely the rad. support top bolt, then the one in the jamb...shimmed out as needed, then tighten the rad.support bolt, then the rocker bolt...install the rest of the rad. support bolts) then install the liner up in from the bottom. This way, the inner isn't interfering with the cab/firewall or the rad. support while your trying to get the fender where you need it. Not the only way, but the way I've found to be the easiest. For what it's worth that is the same procedure I use.
