Title: Electric Fans
Post by: kodalee on January 10, 2014, 04:26:06 pm
I have an 85 K10 and I was wanting to put the dual electric fans out of a ford Taurus. I was wondering how i would go about wiring them to a toggle switch.

why are you not using a temp sensor and AC (if you have it)?

This drawing would work but the 30a fuse on the fans ground leg should be moved to within 6-8" of the positive battery connection feeding the fans positive leg.

Agreed - Not a fan of this way.

The Flex-a-lite 31149 adjustable-temperature fan controller is about 40% of list on Amazon.  Comes with everything you need, and has a connection for a toggle switch if you want that as well.  It gets good reviews.  That's what I will be using as soon as the pretty brown truck brings it.

thanks for catching that.  I hadn't noticed that until you said something.  i have to agree, fuses go on the positive side.
