Title: Abandoning cruise control on 1983 K30
Post by: 46binder on January 17, 2014, 09:32:46 am
I removed the cruise control to get to the oil pressure switch, and would just like to leave it off.  Appears to have a vacuum line taped with the electric wire to it that goes thru the firewall.  Coil it up and ziptie and call it a day?

Plug off the vacuum line, secure the electrical lines ( so in the future you will not have any loose ends of electrical lines hanging around to short out on something metal ), zip tie like you said and then call it a day.

I yanked it all out of mine, but I went LS and none of that will work...  http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=12120.msg201240#msg201240 (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=12120.msg201240#msg201240)

Cruise control is my favorite option of them all.  Wish I had them on any of my trucks.

Well I guess I won't just toss it out.  When theres some warmer weather I will have to pull all out.
