Title: Headers
Post by: 73fourbyguy on January 25, 2014, 02:23:32 am
What headers are you 73 K10 guys running, I have a 350/350 combo with older Hedman Headers and I don't like how close to the front driveshaft they are. Any help would be appreciated, also long tube or short tube..?

I had the same problem on my '77 with its 454.

When I called Headman about it they basically told me to get bent.

I returned the Headmans to where I bought them in exchange for Hookers. They fit beautifully, they clear the front driveshaft with room to spare, and after 15 years they still haven't rusted through.

Only Hookers for me from now on. :)

Agreed.  Running Hookers on 78 K10 350/350.  No problems at all.

They also fit my 75 great.  My truck has the 350/SM465 combo and they tuck up real high in the frame so you cannot see them.  After nearly 40 years they have rusted through at the lowest part of the collector.  Ceramic coating wasn't available then.  I got my money's worth.  lol
