Title: Help w/ codes
Post by: dc7432 on January 26, 2014, 10:44:34 am
87 350 TBI has new radiator, and distributor and everything's is stock. Truck Boggs on acceleration and the CEL came on (on had for two weeks) and I jumped the ALDL and believe I got 33, 44 and 45 I believe the last two are related to the O2 sensor maybe it's bad? Any thoughts thanks

33 MAP - low vacuum
44 O2 - lean
45 O2 - rich

You may have the vacuum lines to MAP and EGR reversed.  MAP requires constant manifold vacuum, EGR requires ported vacuum controlled by a solenoid valve that mounts near the passenger side of the TBI, next to the MAP sensor.

If your O2 sensor is original, replace it.  Make sure that the brown and black EMS ground wires are properly attached to the back of the right cylinder head and to the intake manifold by the thermostat, respectively.
