Title: Lowered leafs w/shackles and hangers
Post by: Ramon87 on March 19, 2007, 03:05:00 pm
I have an 87chevy 1/2 ton stepside shortbed w/ 3" spindles up front and shackles and hangers for 4" drop in back. I am running 17x8 and 17x9.5 with 255-50s and 275-50s.

I want to bring it down 3 more inches.

Lowering coils in the front, no problem.

Now...Brothers has 3"multi-leaf drop springs...Do you think that they will work with the shackles and hangers?

Thanks for you help.

Get the specs on the springs. They are probably just less leafs. Have you considered a rear flip?

If you like the way it rides now (and you carry alot of stuff) flip it.  Lowered leafs have less capacity than stock.
