Pretty simple.  Don't even need a spring compressor.
1st:  Remove codder pin on the top castle nut on the    spindle.
2nd:  Get a jack and put pressure on the lower a-arm, then loosen the top castle nut on the spindle.
3rd:  Take off the brake hose bracket on the upper a-arm, and take off sway bar (only the side your working on)
4th:  Take castle nut all the way off, then slowly, slowly lower the jack.  Be very very carefull, spring is under compression while all this is happening.
5th:  remove spring, insert new spring.  Then just reverse the process.

One little step is missing, ensure you have  jack stands under the frame, up high enough so when you lower the lower control arm with a jack, you'll have enough room to lower that baby a lot to get the coil out.  You cannot over state---BE CAREFUL!  She'll pop out in a heartbeat if it binds or something and you could get an instant facelift.

I recommend adding a step if you go this route.  Wrap a large chain around the lower portion of the spring and thread it through the control arm or around it....

Sorry bout leavin that step out.  I have a car lift at my house, so I didn't have to worry about that one step.  That lift makes pretty much any project 20 times easier.
