Title: np 205 exhaust :/
Post by: winky on March 08, 2014, 12:11:55 pm
so im ready to get started on my exhaust but i ran into a problem... i had a 208 t case and dual pipes all the way back. wellllllll i started to put them on last week and i realized the passenger side isn't going to work too well lol. my question is how do all of you run your exhaust with the 205? run a stock "U" and just go down the driver side? i have headers installed so that doesn't help clearance and it looks like the exhaust will be close to my front drive shaft as well.

I have read that trucks with factory dual exhaust used a different cross member, which had a dip to allow more space for the pipe on the other side, but I've never actually seen one.

I also read an article online where a guy modified the cross member to give more clearance for the other pipe.  Its not a hard job if you have a welder, and the actual design is not that critical as long as you get the required clearance and the cross member retains its strength.
