every now and then i go threw the store page looking at all of the products i must say that the wiring kit impressed me pretty well. you can find it here http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=7&Product_Code=AAW-510347&Category_Code=ELEC
the headlight switch has an internal circuit breaker, signal flasher, hazard flasher, and horn relay is built in.
You can use most gm columns and even aftermarket columns with the adapters they provide
The instrument cluster has a harness disconnect to make it easier to work with and will also plug and play with Dakota digital gauges, auto meter gauges and some other aftermarket gauges using the adapters provided.
Also comes with a switched trigger for electric fan relays.
Has anyone personally used this wiring harness? i know its seems kind of pricey but dang whats money when you don't have to worry about electrical problems lol. Ive seen a few kits out there it just surprised me when i started reading that this one actually fixed some of the down falls of the original design instead of just copying it.
(i am a non paid spokesman) LOL
Hopefully when i start back on my dually i can buy one of these bad boys.

I sold one to someone and there is a post. It is not bolt in. He hasn't posted again since then.
If I rewire my 1973 it will get this kit, and I have 2 other kits already.. One is a Painless..

yeah ive looked at the painless kit for a jeep one time.. i ended up just re wiring it myself lol

Is there one for an 86 Chevy?

Not directly for a 1986, the above can be made to work...
