Title: HEAD GASKET AND INTAKE HELP!
Post by: warwagon85 on March 08, 2014, 03:53:51 pm
My 85 C-10 has a 1962 small journal 327 block and 1970 400 heads, long tube headers, dual exhaust in with flowmasters exiting in front of the rear wheels.  I recently blew a head gasket and sent out the heads to get a complete valve job and machining done.  What head gaskets set should I order for this set up?  Will a standard 350 set work?

Secondly, I'm planning to replace my stock intake with the Edelbrock 7104.  Any opinions on this intake?  I plan to use my stock Qjet carb.  Any hood clearance issues?

If you have 400 heads you should order gaskets for the 70 400 heads.  You should not have any clearance issue's with the 7104, it is not a high rise manifold.
