Title: Rocker panel replacement
Post by: flatford39 on March 13, 2014, 09:06:49 pm
Looking for any tutorials on replacing the rocker panels on a 1980 C10. I have a mig welder and the tools necessary. Just looking for a little advise from someone who has done it.

Thanks

I just redid the rockers and cab corners on my 87 v20 and I took the doors off and fenders off to have plenty of room to cut, fit, cut again and weld back on.

I did the same as jamie87 easiest way I figured out how to do it was to take all off fenders, door, and whatever makes it easy for you. Hardest part is figuring where to cut the new one to match to where to the cut in the old one
I watched a lot of YouTube nothing right on about these trucks  but enough to piece it together you will get the point of it

Best of luck

Put the door back on before you weld the new one in...
