Title: 1980 Chevy Big 10
Post by: Big10Shadow on March 22, 2014, 06:14:15 am
Okay Guys, I have an Late 1979 Early 1980 Chevy C10 Big 10. Yes I have a truck with the F44 Option. I have replaced the motor with a 1986 4.3 I-6 292, with a 4 Speed Manual.  As you can tell I have body damage. But this is a truck that keeps up with my 1973 GMC 3/4 ton 25HD Super Custom. To start the previous owner put Mickey Thompson's in the rear. 33x14.50R15. I have replaced the bench seat, Gave this old engine a tune up and did alot of work to the transmission. Still have a few problems but My recent problem is My Speedometer Stopped working. I narrowed it down to the cable. The rear has 30 inch jeep tires that were switched from the front of the truck to the back. I love my Chevy a few good things about this truck is its a fun project. I just installed a Boss deck, with 2 4way Speakers behind the bench.

Looks like it will be a nice truck when you get done with it.  That straight 6 should give you loads of torque and good fuel economy.
