Title: new cluster

so I finally took the time and started doing some work on my other project.  I needed to redo my instrument cluster to fit new gages.

fit the gages to the size...

cut out the back of the original cluster and center of the bezel...

fit the plate...

outline for the gages...

cut and fit the gages...

fit indicator lights and painted the plate...

and started the wiring.  I need to find a connector or 2 to fit into the dash wiring now...

Nothing wrong with your Nissan!  That's pretty cool.  I sometimes think about buying a vehicle just so I can do custom stuff like this.

     I owned a Nissan truck like that when I was around 25 or so, used it for mudding all the time, it was a blast.

there are a lot of places that have indicators.  I thought these would work best for me.

its a 96 Nissan D21 pickup regular cab (you can see the old cab in the background) with the bed shortened 14" in front of the tire for the new cab and 10" behind the tire.  I've add a 5.3L/4L60E/241C, solid front axle and running 5.13s.  all that is left is the wiring and install the interior.  this is the latest pic...
