Title: 86 Chevy custom deluxe engine questions
Post by: Natali on March 23, 2014, 11:33:23 am
I have a 86 Chevy custom deluxe that is under construction. It's just been sitting there for a few years now collecting rust and dust. It's time for a change, time to get it running again. Any suggestions on what I should do to her engine ?

I would try and see if it will turn over and if so replace the fluids and see if it will crank.  Is that what you wanted to know?

If you change the fluids and it doesn't run like you want go to Jegs and get a brand spankin new 260hp/350'lbs torque long block for $1500 shipped to your door.  I just put one in my '85.  Love it.  A lot of folks I know go with the 290 horse motor for more money.  It has less torque.  Its a truck, I want the torque.
