Hello everybody, If there was a post about this before I apologize to post a new one. I have a 74 chevy cab I want to install on my 1985 chevy truck frame. Has anybody done this before? I am not worried about the wiring just want to know if the 74 cab can be installed on a 85 frame. Thank you

Yes it will work, you have to use the body mounts for the donor frame.

Thanks for the links I appreciate it @Captkaos. I see a lot of people installing 85 front clips onto 73-78 trucks and they have to modify cut and weld so the bumper can fit. I have heard that cab mounting is the same 73-87 and you just need the mounts for the frame, like you just post @ Captkaos. And the only question that I have for installing a 74 cab and front clip onto a 85 frame is, Do I need to modify or fabricate anything? Thank in advance for any suggestion that can help me.
