Hi,
I have an 86 C10 Silverado with driver and passenger side fuel tanks. I noticed this morning the right side (passenger) tank had leaked several ounces and was a steady drip. It just happened overnight. It has a black hard plastic material under the tank (shield) and I can't tell where it's coming from but it has the top side of the shield pretty much soaked.
Before I start digging into this, is there any specific typical place where these tanks begin leaking? Should I be looking on Ebay or elsewhere for a new tank or can they typically be repaired? Thanks.

Never mind. After removing the plastic guard, the rest was pretty much self explanatory. Anyone know where I can get another one? Ebay or junkyard is my first guess. See pic.

Any parts store should be able to get you a new tank.

If you can't find one locally, I can sell you one...
