Picking up a new truck this weekend. Supposed to have almost new 33 super swampers and 12" of rancho lift no motor. The lift might make it a bit tall for my daughter to get in. But I already have someone that wants to buy the lift ( and remove it) . With him doing the work what do you think a descent price is?

If that's the truck in the picture there is no way that's 12" of lift, 4" maybe... 12" is a lot of adjustment, new leaf-springs front and back, steering extension, extended driveshafts, extended brake lines, trans case drop, pinion angle should have been adjusted on both pumpkins...
-
Thank you..I hope you are right and it's not. I have not seen it in person that's why I should be picking it up and not for sure. If turns out to be to high for a 14 year old girl. It will be gone. Just wondering if is that high. How much would be a reasonable charge? Might just be worth getting rid of it.
Yes it is the truck in the pic.

That is more than 4" of lift. Here is a 8" Chevy on the BDS Suspensions (http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=5&mo=27&ty=1&yr=1977-1987) website.

Here is a truck with a 12" lift and 44" tires.

I would say the one you posted is a 8" lift, but it really depends on the tire size, but where the bottom of the fenders meet with the tires it sure looks like a 8" lift to me.
There is no separation between front bumper and valance, so I would say no body lift, unless they raised the front bumper.

What do I measure to find out for sure?

afaik 33s can fit under a stock truck. that being said i wouldnt say no more than 6 but im thinking 4. with 6" most try to fit 38s

You need to find out the tire size, how far the bottom of the truck (under doors) measures from the ground up to the truck, and the gap between the top of the tire and the bottom edge of the fender (front fender, flat part under hood) and then you can compare to other trucks with lifts to know for sure.
I am not saying it is not a 12" lift. If the person you are buying from put it on (or had it put on) then they should know what it is. I am saying that from the 1 pic you posted it is not a 4" lift. I have a 74 stock height with 33" tires and a 77 with a 4" lift with 33" tires, and the gap between the tire and bottom front fender you posted is way more than both of my trucks.
My original point in my first post was meant to be that between 8" and 12" lift it can be hard to tell from just a pic because of tire sizes. They can look to be the same lift because of different tire sizes. Compare the 2 pics I posted, from those pics they look the same from just looking at the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender. Now think about the red step side pic with the 12" lift, if you cut off the bottom of that pic to where it showed only the top part of the tire, it would look very close to the pic with the 8" lift. You can only tell the difference because you can see the whole tire and know the tire is bigger on the step side.

Ok I will check that thanks.
33" super swampers

Now that you can see the whole tire/lift combo, I still think it is around 8".

bake are you taking into affect there is no motor? i want to say it looks like blocks in the rear. its hard to tell with these pics. measure the blocks if thats what i see
-
Answering your original question, "how much it's worth"is gonna depend on several factors. springs or a shackle flip in the rear are worth more them just blocks, if it's only for or six inches the stearing arm, brake lines, and drive shafts may not have been extended. Too many possibilities without more info

Not just the front Irish, the back is too high for a 4" lift, and if the engine missing raised it that much the front and back would have a significantly different angles.

we need profile views. even then its going to be hard to guess without a tape. but if it is blocks in the rear on stock springs they already sit up. so a 4" will be like a 6"". and with no motor that at least would give it 2+"
heres a 6+3" with 35s

in my mind this is 1" more than the 8" lift and the tires are 1" larger in radius so it should look close this truck with a 8" with 33s
heres a 6" and 35s

As far as how much its worth, I sold my Superlift 12" lift for $350. That included all 4 springs, blocks, steering arm, drag link, u bolts and shocks.
Mine was off a show truck and all the parts had less than 200 miles on them.

Ok. Thank you. That helps.
