Title: Should i lift my 2wd?
Post by: AmericanMadeC10 on April 08, 2014, 12:32:03 pm
i have a 77 chevy stepside 2wd. i love the 4x4 look so im thinking of lifting it and fitting bigger tires. i wont be using it for serious off roading since i already have a 4x4. i just love how these body style looks lifted.  or should i keep it stock height? and how could i fit 33's on a 2wd?  thanks for any help

Fabtech (http://www.fabtechmotorsports.com/) is the only place I can recall that has a 2wd lift for our trucks.  CaptKoas has said in this thread (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=2762.msg11805#msg11805) that fabtech claims with there 3" kit and some fender trimming you can fit 33" tires.
The older trucks are not listed on Fabtech's website, you will have to call them and talk to them. (only so much room for years of trucks in their search window I guess).

I'd like to see someone lift a 1/2 ton 2WD. Heck, I threw by back out just lifting my lawn mower.
