Title: 73-80 hood ornament mounting

hi guys, i have a '79 swb GMC and i ended up finding a 73-80 GMC hood ornament at a swap meet and bought it. my question is does someone out there with a 73-80 Silverado or Blazer feel like measuring exactly where their ornament holes are in their hood and hole sizes? my truck was just a base model Sierra, with no ornament or trim but i'm in the process of upgrading  it to be a Sierra Classic. any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm surprised no one responded to this. Two of my 73-80's had hood emblems but I omitted them. I'm sure someone will chime in.

     I think a lot of people did not respond for the same reason I didn't, the 2 trucks I have neither one has them, I have only seen a couple on members rides here.

That is something I don't have a measurement for.  Wonder if it is in the manuals?
