I have a '75 C20 Longbed Fleetside. I'm a 15 year old who is working on a project, and need any help I can get. My plan is to shorten the frame and make it a shortbed pickup with a stepside bed... From what I have heard you need to take 14 inches behind the cab and 6 inches off of the rear, and the bed I have will bolt on after I move the crossmember. Is that correct?

You are correct 14" and 6".
Read this thread and you will see how it is done.

Will everything still be the same with a 3/4 ton?

Frame length will be the same C10 or C20.

If you are talking suspension, yes as long as all you do in shorten the frame, as thirsty said, shortbeds are the same 10's or 20's as the long beds are the same. 1 ton's are different.

There were no short be 20 series trucks...

I realize that. I am shortening a 20 series to make one a short bed.

Progress is coming along. Interior is done and the front clip is assembled. New Fenders, marker lights, windshield. Have the bed off and am hoping to make the cut soon.
