So here's the problem The OEM gas tank in my 77 C10 has a 1-3/8" filler tube on the tank. The bed is off a 81-87 C10 with gas doors and the filler tubes are 1-3/4". Has anyone found a solution for this problem? I took a piece of radiator hose with a 1-3/8 ID and fit it between the filler hose and the tank filler tube.

Use the the correct versioned tank is the only solution.

That's what I was afraid of. I did find a temp solution with the radiator hose bushing, but I don't like doing things that way.

I have seen hose material that is a bell, I wonder if someone makes a 1 3/4" to 1 3/8" rubber bell.
I did a quick search, I found this site (http://spokanehose.com/product.php?id=4453), which is listed for soft wall petroleum hose. 1 3/8" inner diameter by 1 7/8" outer diameter. Being soft wall hose, you could get a hose clamp to probably squeeze down and seal.

Bed is 81-87 I need to use the hoses that fit that bed. The problem is on the tank.

The tanks run 73-81, 82-86, & 87-91.
78-81 have doors in the bed but should have the smaller diameter filler pipes matching the 73-81 tanks. Get the fill pipe and support pieces behind the filler doors that match your tanks.
Be alert. The world needs more Lerts.

So did I.
Lookup gas tanks for sale. Those are the year breaks.
They only list gas tank doors from 79 on... but I've seen a 78 diesel with doors in the supposedly original bed.

Okay. I talked to the place here in Salt Lake where the PO bought these tanks from. (Keystone auto) They said they may be willing to exchange the 73-81, 20-gal tanks for the 82-86 tanks. New question. I have 73-81, 20-gal tanks on the truck now. Will 82-86, 16-gal tanks mount up to the same saddles? I'm going to try to get Keystone to trade me for the smaller tanks.

Your solution is fine as long as it doesn't leak
Or you could Take it to a good Independent (not a national chain) muffler shop or radiator shop. Either one would be able to make you an adapter so you can get a hose that matches your fiiller and a hose that matches your tank
Cut em and splice the adapter inline
I dont see any problem using the radiator adapter rings
The little short hoses you slip over the too small neck and then Slide another hose over that
As long as they are the right size they work fine for radiators that have a lot more pressure than a gas tank is gonna have
I've used em for years and years on custom engine swaps where there are no hoses available
When you buy the universal flexible metal radiator hoses the extra rubber sleeves come with it
