Title: new to the site. need some help
Post by: oldskool86 on April 16, 2014, 10:43:20 am
ive got a 86 Silverado k10 4x4 - rebuilt 350 motor, holley carb, heddman headers, etc.
the truck has some rust. cab corners mainly, floor pans.
im redoing the interior, ordered new factory radio and dash pad.
needs a/c plumbed (both ac/heat work), just no plumbing. (is there blueprints or link on how to run the plumbing?) I guess I could take pics of another truck!!
radio harness was cut. plan to buy harness, but radio bracket is missing that would hold radio behind dash .. is there a link to get one? or junk yard best bet?
i plan to sell truck eventually when its back together ..

Welcome to the site from California.  What a nice looking truck, at least I can not see the rust.
Here is a link (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=25639.0) to the tech section and the manuals for our trucks, you just have to choose the 86 manual.  It can help you with the A/C heater issues.
The store button above, just right of the forum button will get you to the store site which sell all the body panels that you need, for a good price and they are the same gauge as oem, not like the thin ones you find in some of the aftermarket places.  We have had several member use both types and swear by these.  You can ask about the radio bracket too, CaptKoas site owner is really good about getting back to people with prices and links or where if he knows to buy items.
Good luck and nice to have you here for now anyway.

That looks like a nice truck Oldskool. Just what do you mean when you say "plumbing?"
