well lets start off with a rough description. Name is Edgar and this is my very first truck, got it about 4-5 years ago im 17 atm so do the math lol I have learned A LOT on this truck (since it breaks down every half a month LOL) I think my parents bought me the truck or they used money that they saved up for me which technically makes me the owner of the money take it how you want it but got it at a flea market for 500 sat until the summer 8th grade which is when i started working on it...enough of this if you want a better story contact me lol now time for some pics
when i transmission blew i was out of a job by then so i had to use my saved up money to buy a new transmission 1200, i was officially BROKE no money so this is where the build will end now until i find me a job....i want to finish my truck before i graduate which isnt going to happen im pretty sure since i am now in the 11th grade one year left to graduate
when i first got the truck

Nice progress so far. But I have to say, for someone who said they have no money, you sure do buy a lot of things. LOL
There is a lot you can do yourself on these trucks if you take the time to read through the manuals that are found in the tech (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=25639.0) section. You can learn a lot from just reading, and then you can fix some of those things with out spending a lot of money.
As far as the body work and paint go. If it was me, I would tackle a spot at a time, fix, prime and move on. Then when you get to all the area's and fix the rust issues then go back and prime again and sand, then it can be ready for a paint job and it will look good.
Also this site is a wealth of information if you are willing to ask first and see what other members have done and see what problems they have had with products and how/what they did to correct it.

well i did have money when i had a job the whole progress i showed is over a span of 2 years..and yes i know that i spend a lot of time on google, youtube, forums just learning in case i ever need to do something i have an idea of how to do it. i know practically how to fix anything on my truck mechanical, i have ZERO experience on welding panels fixing anything related to rust nor do i have the funds to buy a welder and practice so i have been looking for someone who can fix it and i don't know of any reputable shops to do it

havnt posted here in a while huh? time to update this build just took a new direction lol tried to fix the rust but i think they made it worse..went shortbed, and thats pretty much it i think
im pretty sure this guy didnt know what he was doing the moment saw him cut i said Heck lol he went straight kamikaze no measurements no nothing just eyeballing it...he worked at Ekstensive a really well known custom shop thats why it trusted him but turns out he want the welder just the clean up guy who knows how to use a welder.

i am almost certain this spot is not supposed to be welded in..i thought you use a sealant similar to caulking.
