Hi, I have a 1986 C10 stepside with a 454 and a th350. I am going to drop the truck but am unsure by how much. I am going to keep the 15in wheels, I also want to keep the rake. I was undecided between 3in drop spindles and 4in drop shackles in the rear, or 3in drop spindles and 2in coils in front and flip kit in rear. If any one has any pics of similar trucks with similar work I could look at it would be much appreciated. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/05/4uha4u6a.jpg)

Put this in a google.com image search to find more pics: 4/6 site:73-87chevytrucks.com

Thanks, had a look and there's lots of trucks there and plenty of ideas. Thinking maybe a 5/5 will be the drop I want

I really want a 5/5 drop on my truck too. I just don't want to have to c notch so I'm holdin out for a little bit. but I love the lowered look with the same rake

If u decide on using drop spindles with 15 inch wheels u might have rubbing issues on the lower a-arm

If I put a 5/5 drop, would I have issues with the long tube headers dragging?

It depends on whose headers you have. If it is old school old PN headers, they will hang really low.

They are the summit tracing long tube big block headers. They do hang pretty low. Down to the Trans crossmember, just slightly under the chassis rail. I'm not sure whether they are under the front lower control arms though.
