Title: questions on a 87 K20, 350, fuel injected, 4-speed
Post by: thefarmboy21 on May 20, 2014, 01:16:01 pm
Not sure where it goes, but I just got the option to buy a truck that I wanted 5 years ago and thought it was long gone...Well it just re surfaced. It's an 87, K-20, 350, with the TBI? I would assume. I know it's fuel injected of some variation. And has the 4-speed trans. Had 3.73 gears with limited slip rear. Regular cab, dark blue'ish/green color and I think it's the Silverado package. 5 years ago it was in what I would consider 80% condition rust wise, currently I have no idea, but looks about the same from the one horrible picture I saw so far. So what's it worth in 75% we'll say roughly? Thanks.

Also would this have the SM 465 or the NP 833???

I need pics too! Lol

I know a while back he sent me the axle code looking for parts and the way he talked, it should be a 14-bolt semi float rear and the non Dana front (10 bolt?) miles are unknown to me as well

For a guy wanting to sell a truck, he's not tryin very hard haha.

It's rougher than I expected. Both front inner fenders have fist sides holes in them. Same with drivers rocker and cab corner. Nothing terrible but not what I wanted to see. Gas tank rotted loose and is hanging by ratchet straps, which also caused a gas leak under the bed (pretty sure bed will have to be taken loose and jacked up) Also needs back window and drivers wing glass. Truck accelerates by itself as well and you have to tap the brakes to calm it back down. Not sure if it's a vaccum leak or crustose control issue (yes it has cruise control but haven't tried it) seems like I saw AC in it too. Bed is beat up but solid, Other than that it needs cleaned. SOOOO.......what's it worth? I'd have to give $1000 for it and then fix everything and I really don't have the time. Thanks

$500-$600 right? He's asking $1000 and I told him I'd pass for that. OH and it's got dry rotted tires on 16.5" steel rims. I hate that size.
