Title: New Truck from New Zealand
Post by: AndrewDean03 on May 22, 2014, 05:19:54 pm
Hey guys,
Just getting back into the American cars thing here and already seen there's a couple nice trucks from NZ on here already!!

At the moment I've got a stock standard 85 rhd lwb C10. As you can probably imagine finding good parts over here is hard and importing them is exspensive so it will be a slow build!
Factory 305 runs mint so will leave the engine for now, just looking at nice rims and a massive static drop. Pictures to come soon once I get it out of the shed.

Before the truck I had an 86 suburban with a 350 that me and my partner travelled the north island in, rebuilt a 67 vw beetle (always wanted one as a kid so finally got my ass around to buying one), a67 HR Holden and wifey had a WB Holden that she rebuilt the engine in and got me to paint.

Yes! My wife is a diesel mechanic. We are both in the NZ Airforce so we have some handy people in our work friends, from mechanics to painters to upholsterers' and welders.

Ill start a build thread for the truck once we actually get started on it and no doubt there will be a lot of questions on it from me picking your brains.

Cheers.

Andrew

Welcome, can't wait to see your pictures.  RHD trucks are very unique to us in the states.  We only see the occasional postal worker drive one and they are usually newer Chevy vans or older Jeeps.
