Post by: nathan.zornes on May 26, 2014, 08:48:24 am
picked up a 1977 Chevy C20 Camper Special long bed with a 454, Original 24K miles :o i know right. so far ive done accel wires, Holley Street Avebger 770 carb, chopped the front coils for a 2.5 inch drop and working on the back right now, however it had air lift bags on the rear and after removing them i realized it had two snapped leafs hiding under the plate so now im searching for a used set of leafs.. Anyone ;D close got a set they want gone? ultimate goal for the truck is low mean street machine with a little bit of track time.

Welcome from NW Indiana.  Best to find a spring shop and get new ones IMO

Love to find a real Chevy fiberglass topper in good shape in the Chicagoland area.  Mine is OK at best but not good enough for my 85 when finished.  Great step up to help break the wind pulling a camper...
