Title: Front dif LSD
Post by: Gusgusa1 on June 03, 2014, 07:12:36 pm
Is it possible any of our trucks came factory with limited slip up front?  My gut says no but I may be wrong. Specifically 1986 silverado k10.

AFAIK, the only vehicles to come from GM with a front locking device would be the CUCVs.  you can purchase one aftermarket though.

As dvdswan said the ONLY GM truck to have anything other than an open differential was a few military 5/4 ton trucks. Those were identical as the M-1008 but were designated M-1028.

The M-1028 had a Dana Trac-lok in their Dana60 front axle. The Trak-lok is not a locker, but a single clutch cousin of the two clutch Dana Power-lok.
