76 stepside C10......Truck drives pretty good but steering wheel is out of alignment ........from what i been searching on here a front end alignment may be in order? Column came out of a C20 i swore up and down the it was straight when i installed it but .....its not though....like 90 degs off. Any ideas to fix this short of taking it in for an alignment?

An alignment will not correct a steering wheel unless the steering wheel was correct before the alignment.
You said 90 degrees out, did you try to flip the joint (inside the engine bay where the 2 bolts hold them together) around in the steering column to see it that aligns it up ?
Was the front tires/suspension level and straight when you installed the column ? Just a couple of ideas.

I meant the joint on the steering shaft. Look in the manuals in the tech section, section 9 page 222 in the 76 service/overhaul manual.
This section will also go through and tell you how to adjust each of the steering componets as needed.
