I've only found stuff for the 1/2 and 3/4 ton.  Where would I look for the metal protector that goes under the rear fenders that covers each light?

     You did not include any information so we can help you.
     Example 81 C30 what ? ( I am assuming here it is a step side, but you have to be clearer), and better description of "metal protector" or maybe a pic, since I own a step side and do not even know what you are talking about.

It's the metal bucket that goes under the dually fender that protects the back side of the side marker light.
