Hello this is my first post to this forum I own a 87 r20 , I got it for 500 complete with all bells and whistles that came with the scotsdale , I have bed and front off the truck however the cab mounts are not doing anything but spinning and I've cut one bolt I don't want to cut holes in the cab but. I'm pretty sure that I have to so I can replace the cab mounts is this true am I going about it wrong ? Any and all advice helps

If you can not stop them from spinning, the only option is to cut the cab and then re-weld it back up. Welcome to the site by the way.

If you don't mind how would you go about knowing were to cut in to front as it is at a angle ? The rear is easy, and thank you before I joined I used yall info for everything on the truck plan is 5.3 or 6.0 twin turbo swap with 4l80e or 6l80e trans

There are a couple of threads on here from members who had to do the same thing. Not sure what section they are in, or how to word it to do a search. Normally you would have to follow from the bottom up and make an educated guess as to where to cut the hole.
The problem is the nut that is welded inside the 2 cab metal pieces came loose.
Another member might chime in and give more details or have the links.

Will check in to them

drill a small hole from the underside up through the floor, then either hole saw or us a grinder and cut an access. when we did it we didnt weld them back up and just covered the hole now have an access in case we swap again.
