Post by: kyllrkoala on August 25, 2014, 09:12:31 am
So ive seen alot of conversions from bench to bucket seats and id really like to look into. is there any seats out that that are fairly easy to work with?? i know you can really do whatever you have the cash for however, im new into working on trucks and this is my first project that ive done like this, so my moding skills are still pretty weak. any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Easiest option: You can get new, semi-custom seats that bolt right in.  You pick the style, color, and options.  $800 and up.

You can put suburban seats in, there are a ton of threads on that, just do a search.  Here is info on factory bucket seats in our trucks.

thanks for the tips.. im definitely find some leads on the suburban seats for now. i really appreciate the thread on all the info.. once i get the money im going to maybe go for something with more of a cleaner look. some of the high back seats are really nice. however, $900 is a little steep for me as of now.. once again thanks for helping out a new guy in the square body world..

Blazer brackets won't work on a pickup, the floors are different.  The actual seat part is the same, but you need brackets from the Suburban to make them work in a pickup.
