Title: NP205 Part time conversion
Post by: Bronco Boy 66 on August 28, 2014, 07:40:49 pm
Has anyone done a conversion on a Chevy NP205 from Full time to part time??
I have a 1979 Chevy NP205 behind a Turbo 350, With a Small Block Chevy.
I have a NP203 also, but want to run the 205 because it is all gear driven, but don't want to run the full time 4 x4. I have seen the kits that give you these widgets to install that Mile Marker makes, but there has to be a better kit or modification out there.

    Welcome to the site.
NP 205 are part time, only the NP 203 were full time.

Irish, Not talking about a doubler, just had some misleading info, thought the NP205 was a full time transfer case. That's what I get for thinking... LOL
Anyway, since I don't have to worry about getting a part time conversion kit I can order my bearings and seals and rebuild this thing!
Thanks for the info!!!
